Baby Sprinkle Invitations

Hello All!!!

I know I have been gone a really long time! Now that my son is on the go constantly it is really hard to sit down to do anything (especially when we live out of 1 room). Anyway... I am slowly starting to figure out how to make more time to craft. It's funny it works out that way because I am also 6 months pregnant again and I'm sure the time will disappear once more :(.

My baby sprinkle is coming up in 2 weeks and I was in charge of the Invitations, Banner, and some of the decorations :) I was so excited to be crafty again. Today I am going to be sharing the Invitations and I will share the other things within the next few days. I will also share all about the baby shower when it gets here :) It is before Valentine's day, so I better get moving. The baby sprinkle theme is Orange, Blue, Green and Brown and then Owls thrown in where ever they can be. It's hard to find Owl stuff for baby boys lately in the stores.

Here is the front of my Invitation... I used Create A Critter for this adorable Owl and my Cuttlebug to emboss the layer behind him.

This is the back of my Invitation. I used a few different sets of stamps for this to get it how I liked it.

I am working on some tags right now and the Banner is all cut out it just needs to be put together. I will be sharing those things when they are done :).

I am also helping with my cousins baby shower that is in March and will show things I do for that as well.

By this time in my last pregnancy I had my pregnancy album done... Well I have not even started for this new little man. I have designed things on my gypsy but not cut anything out. When I get really going on that I will share it like last time as well.

I hope you enjoyed my project today and I am very glad to be crafting a little more :)

My First Haircut

My son is 6.5 months old and we just had to get his hair cut for the first time. I was one sad mama!! I was not ready... That means my baby is growing up too soon :( I did however make a Layout for the pictures. I am actually thinking about making a new one that I can make like the adorable car he sat in to get it done, not sure yet though... This Layout was made with Treasure Box Designs My First Haircut file.

Here is the adorable Layout:

Let me know what you think!

Jinger Adams DT Call

Hello Everyone!!

I saw the posting for Jinger and The Scrapbooking Queens design team and I knew I just had to make something to enter. I am so excited to be a part of this amazing opportunity!! I have had a bumpy road the last month and decided to just go with it. I lost my job after having my Son and have not been able to find anything, but Scrapping makes me so happy!!

I had come across this photo paper and I thought I would never know what to do with it... Well, I found the perfect project! We have a dog and my son is 11 weeks now. I just know they will get along great when he gets older and had to make a page for all the amazing pictures that will be taken!

Here is my Layout:

Left Page

Right Page

Here is the close up of the cute car

Recipe:
(2) 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 and 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 Photo Mats
(2) 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and 4 1/2 x 5 3/4 Photo Mats
Phrase @ 3"
Boy in Car @ 5"
Kite @ 5 1/4" (Create A Critter)
Dog @ 3"
Bone @ 4"

All the cuts on this Layout are from Nate's ABC's except for the Kite. I found ribbon that matched each photo mat and put that across each one and tied a knot around it.

I am so happy with the way this Layout turned out. I am putting it in my son's Scrapbook.

Thank You for stopping by!! Hope you come back real soon!!

New Arrival Card

Hello Everyone!!!

I have started to get back into crafting. I thought it was going to be easier to craft while the baby is asleep but I seemed to have lost my craft Mojo. It's coming back now and I will be making and posting more layouts soon. I have to work on our 2011 album and then completely finish my pregnancy album. There are only 2 pages left to make in my Pregnancy Album and then I will post the whole thing on here.

I am going to be a guest designer over at http://creativecraftin.blogspot.com on March 15th. I am very excited for this opportunity!! Hopefully I will have made something else before then that I can post.

I made this card not that long ago for a friend that is going to be having a baby girl very soon. I saw this cut somewhere and I just had to use it for her card. I love the way it came out and the colors are great I think.

I don't remember and didn't write down the sizes for everything (sorry). I will hopefully be able to duplicate it and make it on my gypsy so that I can make it again.

Thank you so much for stopping by!!!

Here is a pic of my new little man that has taken all my time :)

I hope to see some of you back by real soon!!!

Come On Baby! Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome!!!

I decided to do this blog hop for my baby. I am due today January 17, 2012 with my first baby and it's a BOY! I have been working on a baby album for him and wanted to show it off in a hop! I have asked some amazingly talented women to join me in this fun!!

I do have to tell you that I have already had my son. He is now 5 days old and I am loving every minute of him. He was born January 12, 2012 at 9:43am.

Now onto my Layout I made using the Bamboozled by Love file from Treasure Box Designs. I am loving this file and I decided that this page will be when we first layed eyes on him in the hospital.

I inked almost all of the pieces, and used my white gel pen. I am in love with the way this Layout turned out!! I can't wait to put his pictures on it and put it in the book.

Thank you for coming by today!!! Your next stop on this hop is SANDRA!!

The list for the hop is:

Make sure you stop at all the stops and see everyone's wonderful projects!!

12 Days of Christmas - Day 9

Welcome to day 9 of my 12 days of Christmas!!! Today is going to be a little different... I don't have a project to post (well I do, but I'm not going to). I wanted to just let everyone know a little about what's going on with me and what my hope is for Christmas and the New Year!

Wednesday I went into the hospital to be monitored for a few hours. I ended up being in there for 4.5. It was a long time. I am 34 Weeks pregnant and apparently this baby is almost ready to come out. There was a scare and the baby's heart rate decreased a lot and a nurse ran in and told me to turn on my side to be monitored. It helped the baby's heartbeat but scared me. They ended up ordering an Ultrasound and tests to make sure the baby was moving and breathing enough. Sure enough baby had the hiccups while they were monitoring and was moving arms and legs. That was a relief.

I have a chronic back strain and so far the pregnancy has been good except for the past week. I end up being in so much pain that I can't move. So they wanted to give me some pain meds after everything checked out. I was checked and they told me that the baby's head was really far down for only being 34 Weeks. That scared me a little bit more because we are not ready. I feel like the baby needs to cook a little more! I was released and went home and slept and have felt a little better but not much.

I went to my Dr the day after and talked to her about the test results and everything else. She told me that they wouldn't put me on bed rest or do anything to stop labor if it happened now. That scares me! I have been told that 37 Weeks is full term not 34. I only get pressure and contractions when I am standing. She told me that if I didn't want to deliver I could put myself on a modified bed-rest  if I wanted to make sure the baby stays in. So I think I have decided to take my Maternity leave from work and focus on keeping this baby in and cooking. If baby can stay in until at least December 27 then we will be golden!! Then I will be 37 Weeks and I will welcome the baby anytime after that! I just want a healthy baby and I would love for it to wait so that we don't have to spend anytime in the NICU. That scares me more than anything.

So I have been laying low and trying not to do too much. I do get up and go to the store if I need something but there is no more real shopping or being up on my feet right now at this point. I need to keep us both healthy and comfortable. Being at the table crafting hurts sometimes. When I move certain ways or am up there for a long time it takes a toll on me. I am trying to finish up cards and I have also started a few other projects, one being a Christmas Layout for one of my friends baby's. She is having a boy and we don't know what ours is yet so I will make ours when our baby comes and we know.

Thanks for listening to my rant and I will post Day 10's project in a few hours. It is finished I just need to make sure I have all the right measurements and take a picture of it!! Make sure you come back tomorrow for another great project!!

Pregnancy Album Pages 2-5

I have been trying to work on my pregnancy album as much as I can. I have been taking Esmerelda with me everywhere in order to design and perfect the layouts that I want. My friend was going to make it for me and then she got busy and hasn't been able to. So I took it back over and making sure I get it done.

I originally wanted a theme of Orange, Yellow, Brown and Green. Then I decided that I was going to make it whatever colors I liked since through-out the whole pregnancy we are not going to know if it's a boy or a girl. So I am making it in colors that I love in order to show my progress.

I am 20 weeks along, so Halfway There!!!! YAY!!!! I only have these few pages finished so I will continue to post more and more pages as they get done.

Pages 2-3: You and me will be about Me and my Fiance before getting pregnant and then the Positive Page is about the day we found out and how.

Pages 4-5: The first Ultrasound confirming that we are pregnant. There was no baby showing yet but the sac was there and everything looked great.

Please come back to visit and I promise to have more to post, even if it's not baby book related. All holidays are slowly creeping up upon us and I need to get started on all the cards and gifts.

Baby's First Year Album

I made this book for my aunt for the baby's first year. It is not all my idea, I scraplifted the ideas from the Cricut Message Board before it changed to the new one. I am extremely happy with the way it turned out!!! There are lots and lots of pictures!

I used New Arrival, Don Juan, and Calligraphy for the entire book.

Thanks for coming by!!

Baby Shower Invitations

Hey There!!! I have been busy making lots of things. We had been waiting to see what my aunt was having, so while we waited I made her baby shower invitations for a BOY and a GIRL. It was fun!!

So just went in on Thursday and found out that ITS A GIRL!!!! YAY!!! She really likes turtles, so I am making new invitations exactly like the boy one but with a pink turtle. She didn't really like the flower.

This is the front of the Boy Invitations...
 This would be the inside...
 Front of the Girl Invitations...
 Inside of the Girl Invitation...

I am really liking how these turned out. I used Kraft Cardstock for the base of the card. Coredinations Cardstock in Frappuccino and Fern for the inside and front. The Onsie is welded together using Esmerelda {gypsy}, and cut at 5". The turtle on the front is from Create A Critter and cut at 2.40 on my gypsy.

Jitterbuggin Challenge

I just finished this baby card for the Jitterbuggin Challenge. It was very fun to make. I have been making more card to have on hand for occasions. This was a sketch 12 Challenge - Oh Baby!. The challenge was to make a baby card and add some ribbon and play with it.
